The California Deparment of Conservation, Division of Oil and Geothermal Resources publishes a GIS feature class of facility boundary across the state. Facility boundary is an area delineating any equipment ancillary for oil and gas production or injection operations that are under the jurisdiction of the Division of Oil, Gas and Geothermal Resources (CCR 1760). Areas with only oil and/or gas tanks presently reside or used to reside in that area also captured as facility boundary. Using ESRI ArcGIS web application platform, DOGGR District Engineers were able to digitize facility boundary and enter its associated records directly into the GIS geodatabase repository. Data were gathered directly from Operator’s Spill Contingency Plan. |
